Disregarding Jaguar engine production, Bridgend's making 2500 Dragon 1.5 trippels a week, as a slave plant to Sanand in Gujarat.

The pattern's clear - Ford are moving engine and gearbox production to low-wage regions. I'm surprised that Köln-Niehl wasn't first to go - Ford have hired 1700 new workers this year at the lead Fox 1.0 trippel facility at Craiova as the new mild hybrid version comes on stream.

Dagenham must be worried given the rapid decline in diesel demand.

Dagenham is in big trouble and sadly for those who work there the axe might come sooner than many might expect.
