Iíve never been one to get carried away with the cult of Peter Stevens, a rather overrated designer whoís penned as many misses as hits. But what he did with the fag-end 45/ZS was bloody amazing.

The 45 facelift should have been the 400 replacement instead of the early 45. Looked much better.

I always had my doubts about that moustache, mind. Suspected he was NOT ENJOYED BY JERRY FLINT if you know what I mean and I think you do.

I never liked the vast expanse of blank metal on the back of them, weirdly almost worked on the MG though. But not the Rover.

I'm loving the 405. One of the best cars I ever owned (note not owned a car in a while, keep being given free ones every year)

It was definitely Tenerife, I was there for an Ericsson conference. The year before they chartered jets to fly us to BERMUDA, which tells you everything you need to know about how I suffered terribly during the dot com crash.

It was The Belfry the year after that. Bermuda, Tenerife, Birmingham. Tells you everything you need to know about those DARK DAYS.

I was on a course type thing at corporate hq in Stockholm around Christmas time. The speaker was ex-Ericsson and spent most of the time between fag breaks every 40 minutes or so (he had a heart attack in the summer but it still hadn't out him off) telling us about the good old days.
