Being thrown the keys by a simpering PR man who begs you to say something nice about it and you’ll get another one, is hardly an unbiased view. You’re just a rung up the ladder from fucking Swiss. (Obvioudlybim not talking about the one you’ve bought that’s not being used as it’s laid-up).

You’ll note I said the 996, the 997 is much more useable in my opinion.

No back peddling here lad, if you care to read back.

What’s this really about otter?

The man who tends the window-boxes planted the wrong fucking flowers or something?

Or are you just missing Randle and want to try and teach me a lesson?

I was specifically referring to the GT3 RS with that comment. NO FUCKER would buy one to commute. Not even ‘if the cap fits for the current argument’ Otter.

Couuuuuuuurse you were. JIMMY HILL.

I'd sit the rest of this one out, mate. Stick to taking pictures of a Spanish-registered Shogun Pinin or something.

It must be Towerz Laughing

I don’t think I’ll ever be sitting anything out at your request Otter, don’t confuse me with anyone who you think you impress.

I don’t know whether this Brexit stuff has started getting to you again or your lass is giving you a hard time over trumps reelection campaign, or like I said it’s cos of the Randle thing that you’re fucking doolally over, but I’m not the right person to try tit-for-tatting with. Cos, like you, I’m a bit of a gob-shite and I don’t know when to shut up either, I just probably go a bit farer with it and with much less repetition.

It's all about FITNESS FOR PURPOSE, Seaspacker.

The Prius is very fit for purpose. That purpose is GETTING ME HOME when I'm SHITFACED.

I'd like a 911 with a roof rack on. Just to take to B&Q or the tip. Never wash it and leave it in a lightly BENNIED state.

I thought my 911 looked frigging smashing covered in road filth, winter before last.

Not as crackers as the above, but there’s a gardener round here who smokes about in an (usually filthy) E46 B** M3 towing a small trailer with his lawn mower etc behind. Bizarre but superb.

JLD put your £30k in the last of the 6 cylinder Cayman/Boxster. The novelty of using an over priced beetle as daily transport hasn’t worn off 4 months in for my Mrs yet (dirty palms after slamming either boot shut aside) yet I’ve barely used it as it she’s always out in it.

That era A3 is all but extinct now while Focus and Astrays from then seem to be still fairly common.

Were Ford and GM rivals really better built?

They sold a lot more Astras, Focuses and Golfs than A3s in the first instance.

How did that work? I'm genuinely baffled.

I once put four cans of Tennants Super on the roof of my TF messing about with the door and my keys and it sagged so much i thought they would go through. Can't imagine it working carrying owt any heavier than a packet of 20 B&H.

Funnily enough, there was a lightly Bennied '71 example round the back of Earl's Court some years back. It had a shallow wok impression on the rear wing and with the dirt and patina it looked rather endearing.

Probably been over restored by some cunt now.
