I've now done over 8,000 miles in this incredibly unreliable* car. It still hasn't exploded. Starts on the button, holds steady oil & water temperature, and loses (or mixes) no fluids. WHAT IS GOING ON?

Penmaenpool Bridge, Welsh Wales.

ALWAYS.

I'm considering adding a series 1 Freelander to my fleet. Kettle series, naturally.

I’ve been over that bridge. Is it still 30p or something?

There's a toll bridge near me which costs 12p to cross, and I forget about it every time and have to scrabble around for pennies.

The toll booth was burned down a while ago but they rebuilt it, as I discovered when I found myself in the queue frantically going through my coat pockets for pennies.

The Swinford Toll bridge is still 5p each way. I reckon I spend more than that in fuel waiting to pay the toll half of the time.

Nice picture Towerzz, further evidence to support Melville's theory that the kettle series is more reliable being relentlessly thrashed about in than pootled about in?

I like the way you're laughing in the face of Kettle-series legend. After the Freeloader you should get a Rover 75 1.8 auto. And drive it repeatedly up very steep hills.

There must've been industrial action the day that was made and the bolshies thought they'd build a good one to teach the management a lesson.

Today I have splashed out on some Yokohama ado8's. They are VERY SPIFFING INDEED. Unfortunately it means I now cannot afford food or soap for a month.

I thought you had plenty of soap from your days in C-wings shower block?
