Their next UK model needs a hybrid option if they are to cement their small foothold here.

The hybrid 6 will swiftly put the XGhee out of its misery.

With a pull out of GM in Europe I think MG have been put slightly on the back foot. No 3 cylinder GM powered MG3 for a start, despite it being heavily tested here and apparently ready to go into production.
The HS looks okay and if they could get it to the UK market quick enough it would sell in reasonable numbers but I doubt that will happen.

If that's the case, then why is that engine fitted to the ZS?

They'd have done the brand a favour if they did. It looks wank.

So why not fit it to the MG3?
It would make it more sellable as its CO2 and mpg figures are better than the NSE unit and give it an auto option as well?
Maybe MG hedged their bets with the ZS and fitted both units incase GM got funny about it?

I suspect it comes down to China saying it wasn't needed.

Bear in mind that the GS engine is also GM, as are the units in most of their China-only models.

Within a decade your choice will be VAG shite, Bob or Barton. The rest will all be gone.

Not sure if or what models Pashley are still making. Talking of whom, the Pashley-Morgan 3 looks very nice and their bikes ride better than a porn star chomping gak.

Oh Chucky you tight nouveau cunt; Pashley's make the cheap Moultons. Proper ones are made at Moulton's Hall and surrounding outbuildings. I test rode a prototype there in late summer of 2017. Gearchanges were by bluetooth.

Changing gear by bluetooth? Fuck me, what is going on in this world?

I do wish I had my grandfather's Moulton though. I found it fascinating.
