Thankfully my to-do list has been lost with the old forum so this is like starting fresh for me.

I gave the old thing a jolly good servicing today. It had fresh filters and some lovely fully synthetic 5-30 I found in a shed.

I also renewed the oil in the gearbox as it was whining like an MG owner.

And I fitted some replacement bonnet insulation as it was becoming more like a blanket for the engine.

None of this has actually fixed anything, in fact it has repaid my kindness by blowing its exhaust manifold gasket.

Anyone want to buy this thing?

If this was one of your animals I'm sure you'd have put it out of its misery by now.

Are we not at the stage where it may be appropriate to blame you for being shit at maintenance?

When I get a new* car next year, I'm going to store the coupe in a shed until the rest of the world comes to its senses and realises that it worth more than an E-Type.

In pieces. I've bought it some skates so I can push it around the garage.

None. But it could have been fixed by a previous owner.

After the disaster trying to replace this, I better give a status update.

1) A wheel bearing is making an unpleasant noise, but not yet loud enough to locate.
2) There is a small blow on the exhaust manifold gasket.
3) The lower door cladding has fallen off the passenger side and I can't source any clips to refit it.
3a) The drivers door cladding is starting to go too.
4) I decided to give it a damn good clean and managed to knock the high level brake light off the rear screen.

Remind me, how much are MG6s making at the moment...?

A Fendt is too good for him, he'd be better of with a 20 year old Landini.
