So one of the last coachbuilt Limousines from Browns Lane, an appreciating useable classic (If Mary ever gets his finger out), a work tool and two 50 year old British bikes, one of which was my 21st Birthday present, the other my Dads when he was a lad.
I'd take that over a Datsun milkfloat.

Leave it Colm. Heís got his mong-o-meter set to Ďtotally fucking uselessí and the adjuster knobís broken.

GTF. I shouldnít be judged by the actions of my spastic family. It has nowt to do with me what shite is posted on flidbook. I donít ask to be tagged in so much shite either, but I am. And I have no control over it. Plus, isnít it written in Macdroitwich values that WAGs are off limits when it comes to berating?

So am I. Lots of things are shit at the moment.

But this isnít mumsnet. So Iíd rather discuss who has the biggest load of scrap on a thread dedicated to some scrap. I didnít invite this talk of my family, yet Iíll probably get the blame for it as per usual. Iím off to drink myself into a stupor.

You need to put you (club)foot down son.

Your protest would be a touch more believable though if it wasnít a case of just telling the soft cunt to stop tagging you in shit, stop airing YOUR familyís shite in public and start concentrating on the poor little cunt if there is indeed some new dangled fucking thing wrong with him.

Also - itís also a MacD regulation that article 2 point b (regarding WAG off-limits) is null and void if said member introduced himself in the way you ducking did by outing her as a cum-guzzling fuck-stick whoíd been at it with lads youíd met on places like this.

This heap of shit is currently abandoned in the car park of Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens, if anyone wants to go and set fire to it.

TIA.

Oh there's a 1/4" of key broken off in the ignition swtich, so don't bother trying to drive it off.

Oh dear Giles

Same thing happened to the key on my old Tickford 820 but in the boot lock. Luckily I was close to home so I walked back (in the pouring rain) to retrieve the spare.

The car decided to redress this imbalance of breakdown related good luck by pumping every last drop of its coolant out of a split turbo coolant hose. Rover 800s eh?

I'm really pissed off about it.

I do so much preventative maintenance on the bloody thing to keep on top of the heritage and aside from a split coolant hose early on (which I fixed in a halfords car park), it has never failed to get me home. The biggest issues I really have are 21 years and 145k of wear and tear and bits of trim falling off.

We all joke about it, but considering it has been my daily driver for 6 years now, I really can't complain about its reliability record.

And its first real failure to proceed is down to a shitty aftermarket key.

I did manage to get the engine to start buy hotwiring, but couldn't get the steering lock to disengage with the tools I had with me. Also the central locking wouldn't work because the bit of broken key was triggering the key presence sensor. Managed to get round that when the missus came to rescue me and mini Giles and brought a spare key.

I shall return with drills and big hammers later in the week and recover the damn thing.

You've just made me realise that I used the remains of the key to open the boot to get my tool kit.

The stupid knobbly bit on the end must be purely to disengage the steering lock.

What sort of useless cock jockey at BL though that was a good bit of design?

Oh well, at least it's not a bendy key.

Mrs ST had a Clio years ago and she lost the main key.
No problem I thought, Iíll use the spare key I had which after trying to start the car I realised for some inexplicable reason did not have the alarm transponder built into it and would not start the car. The lost key was found but whatís the point in manufacturers providing a spare key that does not start the car?
