From Boring Boring CAR April 2019

They've truly excelled themselves.

RONGNESS abounds. I don't know where to begin.

The author should be burned at the stake in Eisenach Marktplatz.

https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/new-vauxhall-Ashtray-uk-prices-and-specifications-revealed

Quote:
Launched in 2015, the current Ashtray is one of the older models in Vauxhall’s line-up, meaning it was designed and engineered under General Motors ownership before the brand was taken over by the PSA Group. It's not possible to install the French firm's engines in the car's platform, so separate units bespoke to the Ashtray have been brought in.

So they have developed all-new engines that JUST HAPPEN to have the same outputs as the 1.2 petrols and 1.5 diesels used in 308s, Cactis and, yes, Shitroen PICASSOS?

From Not As Boring As It Used To Be CAR September 2019:

"Carr is very familiar with Scott Walker's Esprit, although it's the first time I've been in an Esprit for some 20 years. There are Morris Marina (or MGB) door handles of distant memory, TR7 vents and Fiat x1/9 tail lights"

From an interview with Lotus styling chief Russell Carr, by Gavin Green, who ought to know better. His dad was head of PR for The Firm in Australia FFS...

The vexatious FLAPS matter...

Labia majora v Labia minora?

I can't be arsed to check, but weren't the ubiquitous interior flaps first used on the 1800, and even then not from the start?

I hope Gavin has a good excuse, like being too busy KISSING GIRLS at the time.

I think the MGB got those handles around late ‘67/early ‘68?
Around the time of the Mk2 ADO17?

The MAXI FLAPS (labia minora) were being listed in the Albert Jagger vehicle components catalogue up to about 10 years ago. I had a quick look online but they appear to be NLA now.
