I look forward to the litany of electric faults starting with it refusing to charge at around 1500 miles.

Although I should add that it looks bloody superb.

The colour is nice.

The styling is a matter of personal taste I suppose.

Much like the i3, it looks like itís the wrong scale, like when you played with normal matchbox cars as a kid and the odd larger scale superkings would find its way in.

Iím not a fan of how it looks, but Iím sure itíd have the same opinion of me.

Aye they are. Were Superkings really long or really strong? I seem to recall they were like Major here which were both and smelt like shite. Fortunately their users didn't hang around long enough to be a bother to loved ones.

It's a hard car to photograph. I think it's a grower and a real looker in the flesh. Pleased with the blue paint which is a very striking and attractive colour, again not fully shown off in photos.

Sorry more, are your kids excited? I think they may be a little young yet? I loved it when my Dad came home with a new or different car. My favourite was the Triumph 2500 Pi Estate. Properly fast when driven on the at the time unfinished Edinburgh bypass.

I was next to one at the junction of a dual carriage way a few days ago and I couldnít believe how big it looked. I just thinks itís a bit oddly styled personally thatís all. Iím not sure what market itís aimed at either. Whoís looking for one? Is it Tesla cunts who are coming to terms with reality? Hipster cunts with good credit or a few quid? Londoners in the same category as the hipsters, company car drivers with a good car allowance? I donít know.

That's a good point. Merc and Audi have decided their first serious full electric cars should look broadly like their other SUVs, since that's what people buy at the moment. Jag decided to do something different. This is partly because, so I was told, a big chunk of senior management "didn't give a shit" about this project and just let a crack team of designers and engineers get on with it. without interference they were able to be more radical. It resulted in something more interesting, but also something harder to pigeonhole. Dimensions-wise, it's about the same length and width as our outgoing Mercedes GLC, but lower. They're selling it as an SUV but that's mainly for marketing reasons, and to lower fleet emissions averages in the US. I love it, I can see why others wouldn't. But there's a six month wait for one at the moment so I suppose it's working out so far.

It is. My boy a quite excited about the new car. I have yet to subject him to a blast of full throttle blast, but this is sure to amuse him because it is amusing. 400 horsepower and instant torque. Who wouldn't be AMOOOSED?

By the way, Bob, I was out driving earlier and saw a load of your labours on transporters heading down the M1. Looking good, my friend.

Thanks for that, I was maybe 7 when my Dad had the Triumph. This was 1977, it was like a walnut spaceship. I wish you only enjoyment. Oh and thanks about the Ginsters sponsored hatchbacks. Plus, it's the best car we 've ever made. Mi nus...Single piece dash, plastic tailgate, complicated electronics with lots of fault codes, oh well I'll make sure it's right on the night. Perhaps like a script Editor?

Very nice Otter

Having seen a few in greyish colours about, it definitely looks better in a bright colour

As Mary says it doesn't seem an obvious alternative to anything, but perhaps that's the point?

Yea, I think that was the point but it's a bold move when everyone really just wants 'conventional' SUVs. I gather the design team agree with you, and me, and favour this blue and the bright red.

This got me thinking and after much in depth research I can finally confirm that it's not aimed at the Ugandan EV market. Kiira Motors has that all summed up with SMACK.

And yes, this very same car with the damaged front bumper is the same one that's used in all publicity shots.
