I've had a very busy week.

On Tuesday evening someone deposited some MERDE on my driveway in the shape of a Renault 19 RSi saloon that had been in storage for 8 years. So far this week I have given it a full service, freed up the brakes, changed the rad and fan motor, changed the timing belt and water pump, fitted a new battery and given it a coolant change.

New tyres are going on tomorrow if I get a chance. After that it needs a wing and indicator and it's ready for the NCT (MOT).

Bloody easy car to work on. And only one rust repair needed. Shame Benny must have parked it at some stage.

NLA and all second hand ones are the same. I've got my man in Cyprus on the case however so fingers crossed they can be sorted.

The bloke that had my 216SX before me bought one.

He'd only had it a month and the engine blew up on that road past Boldon dog track.

By co-incidence, I've written about the Renault 19 in this month's Car Mechanics. Unfortunately due to the Hard Border, its NLA south of the border.

Paper rationing in the UK mean it can't be printed?
