So its been a week of reflection - toasting La’ Droitwich off to his great caper into beyond finally took the (uniquely) British guilt out of my system about treating oneself and so this morning we collected Nicky’s car, something we both decided as kids we would one day own. I hope Droity would have approved. Its Olive green and a bugger to photo, its darker than pictures suggest - the petrol station loaf of bread stop off shows its true colour. Were back out again to rag it round like teenagers shortly..

The colour is unusual. I don't like it (but who cares!) but I think it suits the car and certainly looks different. Nice car, good choice.

Wasn't that a popular colour on 70s 911's?

I love it

Not quite Kawasaki green (any car or boke it doesn't improve is incapable of improvement) but I like the colour.

It brings out the shape of the car, which the usual white, silver and fuckinggrey don't.

To add a note of pedantry, shouldn't it be Osnabrück vulgarity?

Cheers to all! Funf its definitely a Stuttgart one if it gets any exclusive manufacture stuff attached. The leather upgrades are supposedly carried out in what was the 959 build shop. DAS P.K.

I believe Ferry himself favoured green for his company cars, so you're in good company there. As it happens, saw a Mamba Green Macan the other day and I quite enjoyed it.

Makes a change, that colour.

I do like 911s in Bundeswehrgrün - Aubergine, Wüstenhaki and Knallorange are also great shades.

Anything is better than Zyklonnebelsilber.

Nice Pearly. Colour is an acquired taste, but at the end of the day it's a treat to yourselves so why not get something a bit different? Certainly always will stand out amongst all the monochrome ones or guards red or yellow ones.

Shame it’s not an Aston Martin but at least it will blend in with the wheelie bins.

FACT: My council lets you present as many green wheelie bins for garden waste recycling as you want. My dad regularly puts 4 out. I digress. So still in the honeymoon drive anywhere period, here seen buying more stuff I have to water.

Spotted its big brother earlier in the week:

For reasons I've never fathomed, Stuttgart registered Porsches are quite commonly spotted outside the Balmoral Hotel in the EPC, indeed all three of these were on them.

There’s a higher German parts content in an Aston than a Porsche.

Next you'll be telling us there are more Tims in Rangers than in Celtic.
