I liked the one where Sue Baker had an alarming road rage incident whilst road testing the Vauxhall Carlton and beat a taxi driver to death in Small Heath with his own wiper blade.

No I think you're thinking of the Fifth Gear episode in series five where they pit the Nissan 370Z against the B** Z4 and Jason Plato threatened to stab Vicki Butler-Henderson with a letter opener if she said "HELLO BOYS" one more time.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the Wheeler Dealers episode from 2007 where Mike Brewer's catchphrase of 'Olllld aht yer aaaand landed him in an awkward situation when buying a down at heel Ford Sierra XR4x4 from Abu Hamza?

No car programme shall ever attain nor repeat the breathtaking production and writing of 'The Used Car Roadshow'.

You're forgetting what inspired Amazon to splurge so much cash on Grannies On Tour - Classic Car Club.

I liked the one from the late nineties when Quentin Willson showed how Brits could take advantage of the strong pound by nipping over to Holland and buying a right-hand drive car in Europe.

Fun PHACT! On the poorly-selling 2001 Christmas DVD 'Top Gear: Is anyone still watching?' There's a little-known deleted scene from that item where Quentin wryly demonstrates how to maximise the cost-effectiveness of importing a car this way by driving a new Shitroen Xsara back to the UK with seven kilos of cocaine in the spare wheel well.

Don’t forget that classic Top Gear episode from 1983 where Noel Edmonds demonstrates the spaciousness and silky ride quality of a Reed Green Vauxhall Cavalier Estate by driving around various streets in Rotherham with his mates Ahmed and Sid and seeing how many children they could squeeze into the ample sized boot.

You don't see any repeats of the episode in 2007 where they drove round looking at holiday villas in Portugal.

I liked the one from 2003 where Annette Bening, dangerously close to being outed as the original Stig, repeatedly tried to convince a reluctant Perry McCarthy to take the rap. McCarthy eventually relented, as he needed the money to pay off his substantial gambling debts, but later related that he was particularly put off the idea by Benings insistence that he "Write a whole book about being the Stig, and talk about it at the slightest fucking opportunity from now until the end of time."

Didn't Rory Reid make a brief appearance in that episode but decided it wasn't for him
